Denise Johnson is a long-time educator with over 30 years of experience. During this period she has taught in both public and private schools. Her credentials include a Bachelor’s Degree and a specialty in Exceptional Student Education. She is certified in Reading Endorsement & ESOL. Her love for children exceeds the expectations of many and causes her to go the extra mile to reach and teach each child.
A Message from Our Director
Every child deserves a place to learn, grow, and discover their God-given potential and every family deserves a community that believes in them. That conviction led me to found New Life Academy. I wanted it to be a place where children feel valued, parents feel supported, and families can build a stronger future together.
My vision has always been to help children build a strong foundation academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. I believe every child has purpose and potential. Sometimes, they simply need someone to believe in them, encourage them, and give them the opportunity to succeed. I also want parents to know they have a partner who cares about their child and their family.
As a wife and mother of five, family has shaped the way I serve others. Raising my children has taught me that each child has their own personality, gifts, challenges, and needs. It has also taught me patience, perseverance, forgiveness, and unconditional love.
My faith is the foundation of my life and my work. I believe God gives each of us gifts and a purpose. That belief guides my commitment to serving children, encouraging women, strengthening families, and creating opportunities for people who may have been overlooked.
When I think about New Life Academy, the name itself represents what I hoped to create: a place of new beginnings, new opportunities, and new possibilities. I want families to walk through our doors and know they are part of a community that believes in their children and helps prepare them to live with faith, character, confidence, and purpose.
At the heart of everything I do is a passion for people. Whether I am serving as a wife, mother, educator, ministry leader, or community servant, my desire is to leave people better than I found them and help them recognize the purpose and potential God has placed inside them.
